Abstract

The aim of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of ozone therapy in the treatment of tinnitus night. Tinnitus (or tinnitus) is the term used to define the noises or sounds are perceived in one or both ears or in the head, and not from an external source.

The study sample was a male patient of 88 years, the diagnostic criteria used was based on the evolution of tinnitus night through clinical symptomatology presented by the patient at the time of the consultation, the subjective perceptions and stories this and the Questionnaire Tinnitus Severity Index. The treatment performed lasted twenty sessions of rectal ozone therapy whose frequency corresponded to the numbers indicated in the protocols and in which doses (1 mg to 2.5 mg Ozone progressively) used also followed the guidelines established in them, but you adapting to the results observed during the study.

Ozone therapy was proposed as a treatment whose results , in this patient with a diagnosis of nocturnal cúfenos, was effective , as it produced a remission of 100 % was easy administration produced no side effects or adverse effects and could be used in the patient on an outpatient basis with minimal recovery time..
