Abstract

A retrospective study on 11 adult patients with a chronic degenerative process, these were treated with a cycle of major Autohemotherapy. Patients present Diabetes Mellitus type II as a main diagnosis.

An analysis of various changes, which were measured at the beginning and end of the Ozone application was made. It was noted in percentage terms, decrease in the level of blood glucose and decrease in heart rate in most measurements. There were variations in blood pressure with a tendency to improvement in 45% of patients studied. Correlation analysis of variables,
shows the trend of improvement in 5 clinical parameters studied.
The observations show how the Ozone Therapy applied also with a primary treatment for diabetic patients type II can generate immediate changes in the clinic parameters, these changes also altered the metabolic response.
Being a retrospective study controlling various variables was not raised, the results obtained are set as a reference to raise working assumption prospective studies with control variables to statistical analysis and validation from this perspective, of course should be done the pathophysiological correlation and conclusions documented biochemical changes, the data indicate that ozone therapy can induce noticeable changes in the clinical management of patients with type II diabetes mellitus treated systemically, seeing it as a complementary therapy.
