Abstract
Aspects related to the prevention of Covid-19 infection and the prompt rehabilitation of the Covid-19 patient remain highly topical issues. Ozone therapy is a very helpful complementary treatment in these situations. The present study aimed to treat two groups of patients: 60 with a preventive medicine scheme and 60 post-Covid-19 in the rehabilitation phase. In both cases, the groups were divided into 4 treatment subgroups using the ozone administration routes: minor auto hemotherapy, rectal therapy, major auto hemotherapy (MAH) or ozonated saline solution (O3SS). All treatments were followed on the basis of standard international protocols, established in the Madrid Declaration. The study took place in Caracas, Venezuela with patients who gave their consent to participate. The application of ozone by the different routes of administration in the patients in the prevention group, showed 0% infections, during the treatment and 12 weeks later. After 12 weeks, 16% of the patients were infected with mild symptoms. In the rehabilitation group, full recovery from symptoms took place within 1 to 2 months depending on the selected route of administration. The most effective routes in this case were MAH and O3SS in which the recovery took place in 1 month. Despite the limitations of this study, the results are encouraging to promote clinical studies with a larger number of patients.
