Otto Leonidas Lima Lucero<\/em><\/p>\n A descriptive observational study of two cases was conducted to evaluate the effect of epidural oxygen-ozone (O\u2082-O\u2083) injection in dogs with chronic debilitating pain and degenerative thoracolumbar diseases.<\/em><\/p>\n Materials and methods: Two dogs were treated with epidural injection of an O\u2082-O\u2083 mixture at a concentration of 5 \u00b5g\/ml and a volume of 2 to 3 ml after being clinically diagnosed with acute or chronic thoracolumbar pain associated with radiologically evidenced spondylosis.<\/em><\/p>\n Results: Within 48 hours of treatment, a significant improvement in pain was observed. Both dogs recovered gait function, and no recurrence was observed. It is concluded that epidural injection of O2-O3 can contain pain, manage neurological signs, and decompress the affected discs<\/em><\/p>\n <\/p>\nAbstract<\/strong><\/h3>\n
