There is evidence regarding the antimicrobial efficacy of Ozone (both in gaseous, oily, and aqueous forms) that it is a highly effective agent for the elimination of microorganisms. Ozone therapy has become an adjunctive treatment in the control and treatment of diseases both dental and dermatological, cosmetic, among others due to its antimicrobial capacity.
